Leadership in the Workplace – An Overview

I recently attended the AHRI Leadership Conference in Perth where a number of speakers presented their views of leadership and what it means to be a leader in organisations today.

The presentations were very thought provoking and were applicable to leadership in all areas of life, not just within an organisation. I was able to gain a greater understanding of leadership and discover new ways for HR to make an impact in organisations.

Every organisation understands what they do, the products they create and the services they provide. Most also have a general understanding of how they do it, their ‘unique selling proposition’ or ‘differentiating value proposition’. However very few organisations are able to clearly communicate why they do what they do.
